We’re searching for a Workplace Technician at our Dallas, Texas location. Facilities for Aurora includes a wide breadth of responsibilities. Our facilities include premium office workspace, hardware development space and machinery, vehicle garages as workspace, and vehicle testing locations.

In this role, you will

  • Perform building and grounds inspections and identify and execute repairs
  • Perform light carpentry, basic electrical, plumbing, painting, and mechanical repairs
  • Respond and close work orders in a timely manner
  • Assist with maintaining clean buildings and grounds including office supplies
  • Assist with event setups, furniture moves, etc.
  • Prepare work spaces, office relocations, and office equipment installations/modifications
  • Ensure that work being performed is done so in a safe and logical manner
  • Organize and store facilities materials and equipment
  • Perform other facility projects and work tasks as assigned
  • Respond to facility emergencies
  • Work well and communicate with facilities team and other site stakeholders
  • Assist with food service program by auditing meal counts, food quality and fielding employee feedback
  • Coordinate with vendors and ensure that services are being rendered in an accurate and timely manner
  • Manage and submit purchase orders for vendors and service providers
  • Welcome clients and visitors to the office and assist them as needed
  • Manage Envoy sign-ins and ensure guests wear badges
  • Accept and sign for packages
  • Assist Aurora team with prepping outgoing packages and creating shipping labels

 

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in facilities, hospitality, corporate services, or property management
  • Proficient with hand and power tools
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to read and follow complex instructions and document processes
  • Manages own time efficiently, handles and prioritizes multiple tasks, and meets timelines
  • Takes direction and works well independently and as needed on a team
  • Flexible to work overtime or on weekends to respond to facilities emergencies or special projects as needed
  • Reliable with strong customer service orientation and follow through
  • Proactive and organized with problem-solving skills and excellent judgment
  • Able to become certified and safely operate light equipment (forklift, scissor lift etc)
  • Frequently travel 1 hour each way between office locations to provide support as needed
  • Occasional travel to offices 4 and 8 hours away
  • Strong Computer skills and proficient in Google Suite
  • Experience using office machinery (Envoy, printers, mail services, etc).

 

The base hourly wage range for this position is $33.17-$49.52 per hour.  Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
