We’re searching for a Global Supply Manager (GSM) to manage our electromechanical sourcing and purchasing strategy which includes custom electric and mechanical components. The GSM would have strong commercial and technical skills so as to understand our Engineering technology requirements and transform them into favorable sourcing decisions and terms & conditions for the company. A successful GSM would be skillful in engaging cross-functionally, from internal stakeholders such as Engineering and Program Management to external partnerships with key suppliers.

 

In this role, you will

  • Work cross-functionally to understand technology requirements and business objectives such as BOM cost target and program schedule. Develop sourcing and negotiation strategies that meet those goals.
  • Develop and manage sustainable and positive supplier relationships while achieving our objectives.
  • Accurately capture NRE, tooling, capital equipment and material costs, and identify opportunities for cost reduction or cost avoidance.
  • Negotiate terms & conditions and prices with suppliers to secure pricing and supply commitment.
  • Partner closely with our Legal Team to review/draft and finalize legal agreements such as Purchase/Supply Agreements, SOWs, etc.
  • Monitor industry and global market conditions, track technology roadmaps, identify supply and demand challenges and opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain (Procurement or Sourcing), or Engineering background
  • Experience in leading vendor negotiations
  • Strong analytical and cost modeling skills, ability to transform data into insight
  • Intellectual curiosity to understand technical reasoning behind sourced parts
  • Ability to influence and convince internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to collaborate well with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Legal, Program Management and Finance
  • Tenacity in solving problems and has a “can do” attitude
  • Thrive in a dynamic, fast-changing environment
  • Excellent communication and people skills 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing Custom Electromechanical Assembly
  • Knowledge of how to interpret mechanical drawings, GD&T requirements, and custom finishes
  • Knowledge of PCBA and semiconductors sourcing strategy
  • Ability to conduct cost analysis and comparison to influence mechanical and TLA manufacturing process decisions
  • Project experience managing TLA and subcomponents supply chain

The base salary range for this position is $135,000-$216,000 per year.  Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
