Your Day to Day. (Night Shift Monday - Thursday 5:00pm-3:30am)
Technicians are involved in the manufacture and test of Axon’s products. Responsible for a production segments (CEW, Video & Cartridge) daily, weekly monthly responsibility such as managing inventory & resolving Production bottle necks.
Using Microsoft Dynamic AX, validates its accuracy through the system. Make action plans for resolving production
problems involving material discrepancies which affects the over-all production operations to ensure timely product
delivery and/or shipment to AXON customers. Maintain a professional demeanor, assist manufacturing team in all
endeavors. Technicians will be responsible in identifying, controlling, leading and organizing of production segment
(Cartridge, CEW & Video) by Coordinating with people from other departments, checking for availability of Reliability
and repeatability of the manufacturing value streams. Negotiates and discuss with Production Control Team, Area Leads, Engineering, Quality R&D, Purchasing and Management regarding forecast/future volume and adjustment of shipping commitments due to production constraints per the next (day, week, and month), activity and also establish action plans together with Mfg. Area Leads & Managers. Ensures compliance, establish policies, procedures, rules, regulations in strictly followed by members ISO, etc. Prepares manpower forecast with Production Planning.

Basic Qualifications

  • Monitor and evaluate production lines for efficiency, quality and procedure.
  • Work with Engineering, R&D, RMA, Training and Quality Assurance teams.
  • Quickly diagnose and provide assistance with a variety of production line obstacles
  • Repair and troubleshoot test fixtures – Pogo pins, relays, pneumatics, pressure, electrical
  • Assist Manufacturing employees to perform their duties to a higher level of quality and understanding.
  • Trouble shoot and Rework External and Internal product electronic circuits to the micro component level.
  • Assist in work with the Production Control team, Manufacturing Area Leads, Manufacturing Engineering,
  • Manufacturing Manager & VP of Manufacturing, in order to meet daily and monthly goals.
  • Ensure operators are following documented procedures by reviewing testers, fixtures on a regular basis.
  • Able to proficiently perform all processes on their value stream.-
  • Training Will be provided
  • In conjunction with Manufacturing Engineering, train existing and new operators when processes are modified.
  • Visually inspects, tests and assembles components or subassemblies using approved assembly procedures.
  • Completes daily, weekly reports detailing product produced, scrapped and any issues affecting their value stream.
  • Will be required to use a computer to perform tests, download information or record test data.
  • Uses hand tools, machine tools and various types of equipment to assemble and test products.
  • Responsible for requisitioning and consuming raw materials when needed.
  • Promotes a safe work environment by adhering to all safety requirements.
  • Understands and complies with all ESD requirements.
  • Meet or exceed established productivity and QUALITY goals.
  • Promote a continuous improvement environment by looking for more efficient ways to perform daily duties.
  • 6’S workstations and surrounding work area’s daily.
  • Must be able to make reasonable decisions and escalate accordingly-Critical Thinking.
  • Must communicate effectively and work under pressure with minimum Supervision, Self-Starter in a
  • heavy multi-tasking in a high-volume environment.
  • Must be able to communicate in a positive manner to all AXON team members (Axon/Contract) and management.
  • Must be able to effectively solve problems or indentify issues and assist in resolution
  • Assist other Technicians and or Value Streams when necessary (absences, lack of work etc.)
  • Complete all Soft or Hard paperwork, correctly, legibly and in a timely manner
  • Must be computer literate & able to learn new programs (Microsoft Dynamic, QUIP, Arena etc.), & new processes,
  • Follow ISO guidelines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or equivalent
  • Ability to use DMM, Oscilloscope, Power Supply, Spectrum analyzer, UV Light devices, automatic dispensers, plastics welder
  • Solder experience: IPC J-Standard Certified a plus
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and basic pneumatics
  • Good vision and attention to detail
  • Ability to utilize a 40X microscope; troubleshoot and solder with 10X or greater magnification
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bluetooth, Near-field communication, Video - Imager and lens assembly to focus devices, Audio - Speaker and microphone micro-electronics, Microchips – Integrated Circuit Systems, Accelerometers and haptics,
  • Polyurethane and compression form assembly, Lithium-ion batteries and charging circuits, Interconnect flex cables.
  • Conductive Electrical-High Voltage Transformers, High Voltage Capacitors, High Voltage Diodes, Oscillators,
  • Wheatstone bridge, Plastics cosmetic repair, Wifi - 2.4 and 5.8 Ghz
  • Basic programming knowledge in any of the following (C++, Labview, Java, Python, SQL, VBA)
  • Associates degree in electronics or 5 years equivalent experience.
