• Carry out scheduled and preventative maintenance and repairs as per OEM requirements.
• Systematic and efficiently troubleshoot and diagnose machine systems problems and carry out
repairs on earthmoving equipment on customer sites.
• Compile accurate customer machine reports that include failure analysis, condition, service,
Machine Inspection Reports (MIR’s) and Technical Analysis reports (TA’s).
• Maintain professional image when representing BWE.
• Work on specific customer sites as per customer requirements when required.
• Ensure complying to safe work practices when working on machines.
• Maintain and control Contamination Control Standards.
• Responsible and Control of own admin (labour booking, service reports, part returns, etc.)
• Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of own work are consistently and
• accurately maintained (ISO standards)

Qualification, Experience and Competencies
• Qualified Artisan or Applicable Engineering Diploma / Degree
• Minimum 5 years management experience in the customer interface.
• Good knowledge of Earthmoving equipment and relevant industry;
• Good communication (written, verbal and presentation) and negotiation skills;
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and meeting deadlines;
• Willing to travel as and when required.
• Show initiative by thinking creatively;
• High level of computer literacy (including relevant SAP exposure);
• Minimum 3 years management experience in the customer interface.
• Good knowledge of Caterpillar components and relevant industry;
• Knowledge of CAT ET,SIS, SIMSi and DSN- advantageous
• Knowledge of CAT Warranty processes - advantageous
