BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Senior Manager, Cloud Data Architect. This role will encompass all aspects of designing and implementing the company’s data platform, from highly scalable transactions, end-user reporting and analytic systems and related data pipelines, to form a permanent data lake. The Senior Manager, Cloud Data Architect is a highly visible role, the candidate will collaborate with a core team of senior architects and engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate and communicate the core values of BAYADA and The BAYADA Way.
- Develop working knowledge of BAYADA’s mission, services, people, organization, policies and procedures.
- Lead key data architecture decisions across the development organization.
- Lead the design of architectural roadmaps, database, data access and data technology architectures based on both the needs of internal and external clients.
- Provide expertise on the overall data eco-system’s engineering best practices, standards, architectural approaches, and complex technical resolutions.
- Work with engineering teams across the technology organization, deliver the strategy through clear leadership/direction, influence, and integration with agile development processes.
- Demonstrate solid performance or exceed performance standards in key job dimensions/attributes as defined on the Performance Appraisal for Office Staff.
- Perform related duties, or as required or requested by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Exemplifies characteristics of The BAYADA Way: compassion, excellence and reliability.
- Four (4) year college degree, preferably in an IT/ Analytics related field.
- Eight (8) + years of experience in software development in n-tier environments.
- Experience leading a team of principal engineers in developing and implementing industry data solutions.
- Knowledge and hands-on expertise in the following technologies: RDBMS, NoSQL, Big Data Hadoop technologies, distributed technologies ML and Data Ops, ETL tools, data modeling for transactional as well as reporting and analytics focuses. Technologies like: Kafka, Kinesis, BI and Data warehousing a plus.
- Experience building data intensive applications in AWS.
- Experience in data modeling, profiling, and database access pattern optimizations.
- Acceptable pre-employment assessment results.
- Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.
