Responsibilities
Partner with operations teams to ensure records from user experience through to financial statementsMonthly close of entities, including billing, journal entries, account reconciliations and account analysisReview of reconciliations and supporting schedules prepared by other members of accounting teamsWork with other entity controllers to complete inter-company reconciliations and ensure inter-company transactions are handled appropriately with group and local statutory requirementsBe a functional expert in local accounting and financial reporting related matters, and work with the Global Consolidation team in ensuring appropriate consolidation and timely reportingLead any local audits, statutory filings and regulatory filings ensuring accuracy and timelinessImplement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the month end close reporting processImplement appropriate financial systems as neededRequirements
At least 8 years of experience in a combination of industry, preferably in FinTech, and Big 4 public accounting experience with at least 5 years in a general accounting or controllership functionBachelors degree and a Qualified Accountant (CPA, CA, ACCA, or similar)Experienced with International accounting and proficient in IFRSThe proven ability to design and implement effective operational controls and processes in a highly regulated environmentProficient with Netsuite or similar ERP requiredIndependent and comfortable in a high growth company where structure, procedures and policies are in developmentAdapt to a face paced continuous learning environment and show a willingness to take on additional responsibility, where requiredPassion for cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, with a desire to stay informed about industry developments and trendsWorking at Binance
