We are seeking a dedicated Internal Investigations and Audit Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity and compliance of our organization's operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough internal investigations into a variety of compliance issues, fraud, and misconduct, as well as participating in internal audit engagements to assess and improve our internal controls, processes, and risk management practices.
Responsibilities
Internal Investigations:Lead and conduct comprehensive internal investigations into allegations of fraud, misconduct, and violations of company policy or lawCollaborate with various departments, including HR, Legal, and Compliance, to gather necessary information and documentationEmploy forensic analysis and other investigative techniques to uncover facts and understand the sequence of eventsPrepare detailed investigation reports, summarizing findings, and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrencesMaintain confidentiality and sensitivity throughout the investigative process
Internal Audit Engagements:Participate in planning and executing internal audits across various business units, focusing on financial, operational, and compliance risksEvaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, identifying weaknesses and areas for improvementProvide practical, innovative, and value-added solutions to issues identified during auditsAssist in developing the annual audit plan based on a risk assessment methodologyPrepare clear and concise audit reports to communicate findings and recommendations to managementRequirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Accounting, or a related fieldProfessional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CFE) is preferredMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in internal investigations, auditing, compliance, or a similar role within a corporate settingDemonstrated ability to handle sensitive investigations with discretion, integrity, and a commitment to confidentialityStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and dataExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare comprehensive reports and present findings to senior managementKnowledge of forensic principles, fraud investigation techniques, and internal audit standards and practicesProficient in using investigation and audit software toolsAble to use data analytics to identify potential fraud instancesAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environmentWorking at Binance
