Given our growth, we are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Director, People Operations to support people-centered activities across the organization, such as hiring and onboarding, change management, managing the HR tech stack, and internal communications. You will be a key partner in driving the VP, People’s vision, strategic initiatives, and daily operations. This role requires a dynamic and organized individual who is adept at managing complex projects, multi-level communications, and providing leadership on HR-related matters. You will play an instrumental role in ensuring the success and efficiency of the People Team and its impact on the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the VP, People to develop, communicate, and execute People strategies and long-term plans aligned with the organization's overall objectives.
  • Lead and oversee critical People projects and initiatives, ensuring timely completion, tracking progress, and providing regular updates to the leadership team.
  • Collaborate with People (HR) leaders to identify and solve project conflicts.
  • Maintain relationships with senior leaders, People (HR) team members, and cross-functional partners to drive alignment and support for People (HR) initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other teams when adopting and implementing People technology.
  • Play a pivotal role in organizational change management, ensuring that People (HR) initiatives are effectively communicated and adopted by employees.
  • Manage, develop, and inspire a team.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in a full lifecycle HR / Operations role, demonstrating a deep understanding of HR principles, practices, and trends.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in HR software and tools (eg Ceridian, Dayforce) and a competency to release process pain points within a HRIS.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering complex HR projects on time and within budget. Able to pivot and adapt with unexpected changes and challenges.
  • A “builder’s” mentality with the ability to develop and grow relationships across the company.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrates solid judgement in decision making that positively impacts reports, projects, and Bishop Fox.
  • High degree of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, managing competing priorities effectively.
  • Adept at fostering a positive work culture and team collaboration.
  • High level of adaptability and agility in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
