Given our exceptional growth, we are expanding and hiring an Engagement Manager to join us on this exciting journey. An Engagement Manager delivers client-facing projects at the highest level of execution and service. You’re a seasoned and certified Project Manager with experience working on client-facing projects. Still, you’re hungry to further your professional development. You are currently working in the IT industry and enjoy learning about new technology as well as keeping up with the latest trends. Ideally, you have experience in one or more IT areas of expertise such as networking, application development, or mobile application development. Your ideal position has you managing large-scale, potentially game-changing technical projects for clients. On a more personal level, you believe in the value of relationship-building. You can anticipate your clients’ needs before they even manifest into reality. Confidence comes naturally to you, and you don’t back down from a challenge or pressure from your projects and clients. In fact, you welcome them – bring it on!

Responsibilities

As an Engagement Manager at Bishop Fox, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Delivering concurrent projects on time, within scope, and on budget
  • Executing project plans, proactively identifying and managing risks, resolving issues, and driving projects to successful completion
  • Building relationships with clients as measured by Net Promoter Score, ad hoc feedback, and successive contracts
  • When it is safe to resume work travel, attending and providing leadership during client onsite meetings, such as kickoff meetings or executive out briefs
  • Estimating scope on sub-projects or work for repeat clients, submitting estimates to the Sales team as appropriate
  • Conducting root cause analysis on troubled projects and proposing solutions back to relevant teams, such as Sales, Resource Management Office, and Delivery
  • Conducting training and creating documentation for the PMO on new processes, best practices, or methodologies

Requirements

In addition to the above, the following is a list of skills and traits that describe you. If you have most of these, we’d like to speak with you.

  • At least three years of project management experience with IT related projects, with a preference for five years of experience or more.
  • A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred
  • A PMP or Prince2 certification is nice to have, but not required
  • Ability to navigate difficult client situations with expert negotiation skills and a client-service mentality
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization
  • Strong understanding of the terminology and guidelines set forth in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
  • Well-versed in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly experienced with Excel
  • Experience using Workfront or similar project management software and JIRA for workflow management
  • Knowledge in one or more of the following IT areas: networks, application development, or mobile application development is preferred
  • Cybersecurity knowledge is desired but not required
