UX Researcher and Designer

San Francisco or U.S. Remote

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled UX Researcher to join our product development team. As a UX Researcher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our cybersecurity products by providing deep insights into user behaviors, needs, and motivations. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • User Research: Conduct in-depth user research to gain insights into user behaviors, needs, and pain points. Utilize various research methods, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and analytics, to inform product design decisions. 
  • Design and Prototyping: Develop user-centric designs for products by conducting research, creating wireframes, and building prototypes to test usability. Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to iterate designs based on feedback and technical constraints.Data Analysis: Analyze user data and feedback to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Present findings and recommendations to internal teams and stakeholders. 
  • Persona Development: Work closely with stakeholders to develop and refine user personas that accurately represent the diverse user base of the offensive security platform. 
  • Usability Testing: Plan and execute usability testing sessions to evaluate the effectiveness of current and proposed features. Analyze results and collaborate with design and development teams to implement improvements based on findings. 
  • Advocacy: Serve as a strong advocate for the user within the organization, ensuring that user-centered design principles are integrated into the development process. 
  • Measure and quantify ROI and performance of specific programs – utilize data to improve performance and adapt programs  

 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Psychology, or related field. 
  • 3-5 years experience in UX research and design, specifically in technology or cybersecurity environments. 
  • A strong portfolio showcasing previous research projects and their impact on product design. 
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to translate data into meaningful insights. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence cross-functional teams. 
  • Familiarity with a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods. 
  • Expertise with UX design tools and software (Figma, Sketch).
