As a Staff Accountant at Branch, we're looking for a detail-oriented individual based in India to manage US Accounting operations. Strong accounting skills, flexibility in working hours, and the ability to work independently are essential for candidates. Our accounting team, characterized by diversity and collaboration, is dedicated to ensuring timely and precise financial reporting. This position, reporting to the Accounting Manager for US operations, will be pivotal in establishing scalable processes for sustained success.

As a Staff Accountant, you’ll get to:

  • Lead the accounts payable processes, including new vendor onboarding, coding, invoice approval, pay runs, vendor relationship, and 1099 issuance
  • Manage the US corporate credit card programs, handling card issuance, expense classification, and reconciliation
  • Perform month-end account reconciliations and prepare associated journal entries
  • Administer employee travel and expense reimbursements
  • Provide audit support and ad-hoc reporting for management and other team members
  • Continuously identify and implement scalable processes maintaining a high level of accuracy and increase processing efficiency.

You’ll be a good fit if you have:

  • 3+ years of accounting experience; master’s in accounting
  • Chartered Accountant/CPA certification preferred
  • Big 4 firms and technology industry experience preferred
  • Clear and concise communication skills with a proactive and determined mindset.
  • Attention to Detail, possess integrity and creative problem solving skills
  • Advanced Excel skill
  • Familiarity with NetSuite, Tipalti (or similar AP systems)
  • Fluent in English and availability to work during US hours

This role will be based at our Bengaluru office and follows a Hybrid schedule that will be aligned with our Return to Office guidelines.
