 About the team

Careem Shops is on a mission to reinvent the way people shop for groceries, pharmacies, flowers, and much more. As an exciting new vertical within Careem (a startup within a startup).

As a Sales Executive, you’ll be responsible for filling the selection gaps based on the directional strategy of the department and ensure the best offering to the customers along with the best quality of brands by hunting and onboarding new merchants and stores within Careem Shops & Box

What you'll do

  • Work with the team on defining the selection gaps based on the department & business strategy.
  • Work with the team to achieve the objectives and the targets of the department from a sales perspective.
  • Identify and source key consumer trends in the market.
  • Source & negotiate deals with merchants to onboard them on Careem’s platform.
  • Ensure a proper onboarding for the merchants in coordination with the other functions.
  • Handle merchants accounts and respond to their requests.
  • Collaborate with the other teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for the merchants, operations, training, account management , legal and finance teams
  • This role is a hybrid role where you should expect to spend 50% of your time on the field and 50% at the office.

What you'll need 

Successful candidates will have a passionate commitment to improving the lives of people, an insane focus on excellence and customer centricity, and a strong alignment with our core values and purpose.

  • Bachelor degree in any field, sales experience is a plus.
  • Good communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • You are an excellent communicator with strong influencing skills.
  • Driving license and own car.
  • Grittiness. You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and address something hands-on, you persevere when others fall away
