Our Opportunity:
Chewy is looking for a Director, Finance to join our Finance Team based in Dania Beach, FL. This is a critical leadership position on the team where you will be partnering with various business leaders to drive business results, lead budgeting, forecasting, and all business performance reporting, and lead a large team. The Director of Finance position will work closely with and report to the VP of Corporate Finance, driving continuous improvements to the company’s forecasting, budgeting and reporting processes.
What you'll do:
- Lead all financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for Chewy across all organizations
- Partner with C-Suite, VPs and Directors across the entire company to define KPIs, build forecasts and budgets, and track performance while explaining variances to plan, identifying risks and opportunities, and driving strategic business initiatives to deliver profitability and working capital targets
- Lead the preparation of internal and external reporting packages for management, auditors, and investors
- Lead a team of finance managers and financial analysts responsible for that enhance financial models (labor models, monthly forecasting, NPV, ROI, Payback, etc.) on a monthly basis to improve forecast accuracy and drive business results
- Drive continuous improvement to financial processes and workflows
What you'll need:
- Bachelors degree
- 7+ years related experience
- Experience in financial analysis, key performance indicators, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Exceptional leadership and management skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial statements and financial modeling
- Comfort in dealing with ambiguity
- Collaborative, detail-oriented, and execution-focused
- Strong PowerPoint and data visualization skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, etc.)
- Ability to self-start and self-direct work
- Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them through to completion
- Position may require travel
