Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Senior Director for Mobile Web & Apps to head-up our Mobile Product & Engineering teams in Boston, MA. This role will play a critical and visible role in shaping Chewy’s vision and strategy for mobile experiences. They will also focus on delivering world class customer experiences across mobile platforms, building high performing teams, and developing the technical stacks for iOS and Android. Chewy’s Mobile Product and Engineering teams build experiences that are used by millions of customers each day – and we need to keep working hard and smart to ensure we are delivering on our customer expectations for mobile shopping. Our ideal candidate is comfortable with leadership, unfazed by debate, and is energized by working with smart people in a fast-paced environment. They will ideally have experience building and leading mobile product and/or engineering teams across multiple platforms, as well as familiarity with mobile best practices.

What You'll Do:

• Develop the strategy and roadmaps for our mobile platforms and experiences
• Own the releases of features into our app platforms
• Partner with Recruiting to drive key hiring, which includes the ability to identify and close top talent
• Be plugged into the local mobile development community and garner excitement about our products and opportunities
• Guide decisions on architecture, system design, and technical strategy, including server APIs
• Help cultivate and maintain a positive and upbeat culture that brings out the best in people

What You'll Need:

• Significant track record leading high-performing mobile product and/or engineers
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality mobile applications at scale, on schedule
• Demonstrated ability to hire, mentor, and retain top talent
• Understanding of mobile software development and architecture, with hands-on experience
• Inspirational leadership and entrepreneurial spirit!
• Position may require travel
