Our Opportunity:

Chewy is hiring a Software Engineers for our Order Release and Customization (ORC) team in Boston, MA. ORC is a critical part of our custom e-commerce platform that is responsible for all business processes that need to occur on customer orders. The platform currently handles millions of transactions a month and is being scaled to handle a rapidly growing volume with greater resiliency. This is a high-profile position that will have exposure across the entire business, influencing the vision and implementation of architecture, design and features for this platform. As part of a dynamic team, this role offers a tremendous opportunity for professional growth in the leading online pet retailer in the US. The role will allow you to act as a technical contributor while leading a team of strong engineers at a rapidly scaling company.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and build new features and capabilities into ORC
• Drive technical decisions and collaborate with talented peers
• Review code, implementations and give meaningful feedback that helps others build better solutions
• Establish strong working relationships at all organizational levels and across functional teams
• Scale ORC as Chewy continues to grow leveraging our on-prem data centers and AWS

What You’ll Need:

• 5+ years of experience in Software Development as a software engineer
• Fluency in 1 or more programming languages and database technologies
• Position may require travel 

Bonus:

• E-commerce experience
• Java experience
• AWS development experience
