The range for this role is $58,000 to $79,500
Actual base pay will be determined based on a successful candidate's work location, skills/abilities, experience, and education. This role includes opportunity to receive an annual bonus target of 5% of annual eligible earnings. Actual bonus amounts are determined by length of time in role, individual performance, and organizational performance.
Interested applicants must be willing and able to work onsite minimum 4 times per week in our Melbourne, FL office.

The Job
The Instructional Designer will design and implement engaging, effective learning and performance support solutions across multiple modalities. This role collaborates with subject matter experts and stakeholders to assess needs, develop content, and manage learning technology. The position supports organizational goals through engaging learning experiences, content management, and data-informed improvements.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct needs assessments and job task analyses to identify learning and performance gaps
- Design and develop learning experiences for classroom, virtual, and eLearning delivery
- Create and maintain content such as facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, and knowledge base articles
- Apply adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to all deliverables
- Conduct media analyses to ensure content is relevant, accurate, and achieves objectives
- Conduct formative and summative evaluation of course content
- Develop and manage learning paths and performance support tools in LMS and knowledge systems
- Use data analytics to evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align learning solutions with business objectives
- Provide support and guidance to peers and end users on learning technologies and content
- Maintain and update content based on feedback, performance metrics, and organizational changes
- Ensure course development and maintenance train the appropriate skills and competencies stated in the learning experience objectives
- Support compliance training and reporting in coordination with HR and department leaders
- Manage instructional design project scope, requirements, goals and timeline
- Contribute to the exercise and expression of Christian Care Ministry’s Christian beliefs
- All other duties as assigned
Essential Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in instructional systems design and adult learning theory
- Strong consultation, analytical, and communication skills
- Experience with LMS administration (e.g., Litmos, LinkedIn Learning) and eLearning tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Camtasia)
- Ability to manage multiple projects – conduct needs assessment and analysis, manage stakeholder expectations, prioritize efforts to meet timelines, and measure outcomes.
- Collaborate across teams – work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to deliver excellent work product and build relationships
- Familiarity with SCORM/xAPI standards and knowledge management systems
- Competence in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, and graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva)
- Ability to translate data into actionable insights and learning improvements
- Attention to detail – ensure accuracy and consistency to all instructional material

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, or related field required
- 3–5 years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or learning technology administration; preferably in a healthcare payer industry
- Master’s degree or certifications in instructional design, project management, or learning technologies preferred
