Impact as part of the Coupa team:

  • Exercise your knowledge of full stack development to resolve customer issues by writing code, testing and implementing fixes across various Coupa products and systems.
  • Improve the ongoing customer experience with Coupa by creating new code to add serviceability and tracing which will aid in triage and resolution of support cases.
  • Guide team members technically to grow RoR experience, coach and provide feedback regarding code changes.
  • Advocate for data driven decision and success metrics.
  • Gain an understanding of customer use cases in procurement, sourcing, expense, contract management, inventory management, supplier management, and business analytics along with the underlying application and technical platforms which support them with the vision to become a subject matter expert in one area.
  • Share the new insights you learn each day with the team, all support colleagues, and document that information in our knowledge base for customers, partners, and suppliers.
  • What you will do:

  • Ability to Mentor, coach and develop new team members technically as lead/manage workload
  • Write readable, testable, maintainable and extensible code in Ruby on Rails for both back and front end components.
  • Debug and troubleshoot existing code behavior. 
  • Work with the Product and Design teams to build new features to solve support challenges and improve customer experience.
  • Perform code reviews to create robust and maintainable code.
  • Work in an agile environment where quick iterations and good feedback are a way of life.
  • Continually look for opportunities to improve our platform, process, and business.
  • Communicate and coordinate with our support and professional services teams to solve customer issues.
  • What you will bring:

  • Minimum of 6+ years of cloud software experience/enterprise platform, total of 15+
  • Track record of mentoring and developing engineering skills in others or previous engineering management experience.
  • Expertise in Ruby on Rails required.
  • Experience in scaled agile methodologies with sprint and workload planning.
  • Experience working collaboratively with a distributed team.
  • BS/MS EE/CS or technical degree with relevant experience.
  • Helpful skills and/or areas you will learn:

  • Procurement to payments, industry experience (P2P).
  • Accounting and financial processes.
  • Solid knowledge of test-driven development and CI (teamcity, jenkins).
  • Experience between 12yrs - 16yrs with expertise in Ruby on Rails is required.
