The Impact of a QA Engineer- Business Applications at Coupa:
As a QA Engineer on our Business Applications team, you are a critical guardian of our company's operational integrity. Your work goes beyond finding bugs; you ensure the stability and reliability of the mission-critical systems that run our business, from our Salesforce Lead-to-Cash process to our NetSuite financial reporting. By meticulously testing every change, you prevent disruptions that could impact our sales cycle, financial accuracy, and overall employee productivity. Ultimately, your contribution builds trust in our data and empowers our business to move forward with speed and confidence.

What You'll Do:

  • Test Planning & Scripting: Collaborate with business analysts and developers to create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test scripts for new projects and enhancements.
  • Test Execution: Perform thorough functional, non-functional, and security testing on our core business applications (Salesforce, NetSuite, Zuora, Coupa).
  • Regression Testing: Own and execute regression testing for scheduled releases to ensure existing functionalities are not impacted by new changes.
  • Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to improve the efficiency and coverage of our regression testing efforts.
  • UAT Management: Assist in the management of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by leveraging Xray for test case management, execution tracking, and reporting.
  • Documentation: Maintain and update our test case inventory to reflect new functionalities and changes from recent releases.
  • Reporting: Create and publish comprehensive Test Summary reports for stakeholders, highlighting test results, defects, and overall quality of the release.
  • Defect Management: Identify, document, and track bugs to resolution, working closely with the development team to ensure timely fixes.
  • What You'll Bring To Coupa:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance role.
  • Proven experience testing enterprise-level applications (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, or other ERP/CRM systems). Salesforce experience is a must.
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes (Agile, Scrum).
  • Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Selenium, Provar, Java, Python).
  • Direct experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, Zuora, or Coupa platforms.
  • Familiarity with test management tools, specifically Xray for Jira.
  • Experience in security testing and non-functional testing (e.g., performance, load testing).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
