The Opportunity

As a key member of the ANZ leadership team, you will guide a small team of small to mid market Account Executives to build prospect pipelines and increase recurring revenue across your team’s prospective partner base. Your flare for coaching will strengthen performance, pipelines, forecasts and account plans as well as develop emerging and experienced sales talent, contributing to the continued growth of our ANZ business.

You can seamlessly switch between strategic and transactional sales strategy and leverage supporting functions to optimise sales processes, team engagement and strategic partner acquisition.

A Look Inside the Job

  • Lead by example and inspire a culture of top performing team players
  • As a member of the sales management team, you’ll be responsible for a team of 3+ Account Executives (Sales Hunters)
  • Work alongside RVP and Rev Ops teams to introduce a strategic hunting engine
  • Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations and coaching activities of your team to meet monthly revenue goals - metrics, opportunities, account planning, prospecting, forecasting
  • Maintain and grow headcount through proactive recruiting, performance management and training of elite sales talent
  • Identify competency / skill gaps in your team and consistently monitor and improve sales activity through meaningful, metric drive performance planning
  • Collaborate with other sales managers, VPs and business leaders to optimise process, systems, messaging and alignment strategies
  • Review processes such as: progressing deal stages, forecasting accuracy, increasing conversion rates, and closing opportunities
  • Manage a monthly forecast of sub-30 day deal cycle opportunities to the senior leadership team and build quarterly and annual revenue plans
  • Run team QBRs to build sales maturity and cultivate an environment of feedback
  • Work with marketing to develop and optimise lead sourced and sales touch points
  • Maintain professional knowledge of Datto’s channel partners and competitive landscape

About You

  • Experience in coaching, training and motivating a new business sales team (SMB through mid-market and strategic accounts)
  • Passion for inspiring and leading teams to exceed goals and develop professionally
  • Ability to be adaptive to the rapid change and ambiguity that comes with being in a fast growing, global organisation
  • Bias toward action and results -- experience refining sales processes and pivoting with organisational growth
  • The ability to flex between a high volume and strategic partner acquisition mindset 
  • Knowledgeable within solution sales methodologies (Richardson, BANT, MEDDPPIC)
  • Natural ability to foster the right behaviours in a transactional and strategic sales environment
  • Effective communication with a variety of stakeholders and partners across multiple departments
  • Proven success and ability to demonstrate your numbers 

Bonus Points

  • An understanding of channel selling, specifically within the MSP market
  • Experience within a multi product, SaaS based company
