You Would:  

Join a small but established DevOps team working to deliver and support a global remote management platform utilized by millions of devices around the world. Responsible for everything from monitoring and troubleshooting, to helping the business gain insights into platform activity and pushing out releases, you’d be working with a distributed team based in the US and EMEA.

Expected to take a problem and run with it, we’re always there to help each other but we won’t be guiding you to a solution and are looking for people who are in their element coming up with efficient solutions to what we hope are interesting problems.

The DevOps team for Datto RMM have always been lean, and we all wear many hats. This isn’t a role for someone who’s hoping to specialize in a particular field, rather someone who’s hoping to broaden their skills and we’ve all grown since we first formed as CentraStage back in 2013. 

Working on the RMM platform can be frustrating at times, these aren’t generally problems people have run into before and posted solutions to StackOverflow for, but we solve issues and develop processes that let tens of thousands of people manage millions of devices around the globe, and are free to use the best technology for the job (Though maybe don’t suggest moving to GCP in your first week).

As we expand the team, we look to add unique perspectives and experiences that will help us all grow, and we’re all looking forward to welcoming a new member and everything they bring to the team.

(This role will report to Jason and he has been with Datto RMM since it was CentraStage back in 2011. As an “early” employee Jason has seen what was then CentraStage go on to be acquired by Autotask, and then merged into the Datto family)

Describes You: 

• Strong experience working in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Comfortable working with Linux
• Experience of both relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and non-relational (ElasticSearch, DynamoDB, etc.) data stores
• Experience working with JVM based applications and servlet containers (Tomcat, Jetty, etc.)
• Experience working with software load balancers and reverse proxies (HAProxy, Nginx, etc.)
