The Budget Manager is a key member of the budgeting team within the financial operations team, and contributes to the budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, implementation, and business strategic analysis for a portfolio of programs. In this role the Budget Manager will work with program team members to maintain and update forecasting models. The Budget Manager will also work with the Budget Leads and broader financial operations team to ensure timely analysis, reconciliation and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with program team members to gather inputs on program needs, process vendor and payment requests, and reconcile against the budgetMaintain inputs to financial models to support the decision making processTrack actuals versus budget to identify instances of savings or over-spendingParticipate in, and support the budget team’s portion of monthly close activities and regular financial presentations to leadership and other stakeholdersPortfolio of programs may include Events, Fundraising, HQ, Technology, Paid Media, and State Field OperationsOther duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.Preferred Qualifications:
2-4+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysisExpertise in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets a mustFamiliarity with Planful, Sage Intacct, AnyBill, Expensify, or Concur is a plusA desire to thrive in a fast-paced work environmentExperience volunteering or working on a political campaign a plus but not requiredThe starting salary for the Budget Manager position is $75,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends, and has an end date of November 15, 2024.
