The right to vote is fundamental — it is the right that protects and expands all other rights. The Democratic Party is committed to expanding voting access and ensuring that every eligible voter can cast a ballot that counts. The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is aggressively committed to these goals and seeks a Civic Engagement and Voter Protection (CEVP) Director to develop and execute a national civic engagement and voter protection strategy. This position is at the nexus of legal, political, organizing, data, and technology and requires a candidate proficient in all areas.
The CEVP Director is an energetic and experienced election law professional who will work collaboratively with other DNC departments, DNC committees, and external partners to advance priorities. The CEVP Director will work closely with the DNC legal team on matters related to voting rights litigation; the Political, Coalitions, Organizing, and Coordinated Campaign Teams to develop and execute programmatic and campaign strategies and goals; and the DNC Data and Technology Team to develop metrics, data, and tools for success.
The ideal candidate is a creative, versatile, and action-oriented problem solver with excellent attention to detail and a track record of managing staff, projects, and time to produce results.

The starting salary for the Civic Engagement and Voter Protection Director position is $160,000 on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends.
The Civic Engagement and Voter Protection Director position will require travel, which could be up to 30% of the time.
