The Finance Surrogates Associate will assist with the finance team’s engagement with National Advisory Board members and other surrogates. Specifically, they will assist the Surrogates Deputy Finance Director and other team members on tracking and organizing all programming and logistics for surrogate events, meetings, calls, and other fundraising modes. 

This position is based in Wilmington, DE. The Finance Surrogates Associate will report to the Deputy Finance Director for Surrogate Fundraising, and will work closely with the other Finance Surrogates Associates on a daily basis.

In this position you will (Responsibilities/Duties):

  • Work closely with Surrogates Deputy Finance Director on Surrogate fundraising plan.
  • Assist with maintaining a finance plan for the Surrogate fundraising program. 
  • Assist with creating and maintaining a robust communication plan that will be shared with internal stakeholders. 
  • Assist in the drafting of written materials provided to campaign surrogates. 
  • Work with the major donor fundraising team to ensure events meet and exceed fundraising goals. 
  • Work with the major donor events team to ensure event logistics run smoothly and events remain within budget.  
  • Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or 4 years working experience. 
  • 1-2 years campaign or political committee experience.
  • Working knowledge of NGP database is highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Precise attention to detail and strong copy editing skills. 
  • Error-free written communications.
  • Ability to work and build relationships with leaders, staff, and members at all levels.
  • Travel will be required.

  •  The Finance Surrogates Associate position will require travel, which could be up to 15% of the time. The starting salary for the Finance Surrogates Associate position is $51,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, which means you will be eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 in a given workweek, and has an end date of November 15, 2024. This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
