The Democratic National Committee (DNC) seeks experienced project managers to join the Office of Strategy and Innovation (OSI). The OSI is led by seasoned campaign practitioners, managing a team dedicated to crafting strategies for winning and maintaining Democratic majorities through comprehensive planning, coalition building, strategic research, and infrastructure innovation. Project Managers will play a pivotal role in collecting and leveraging data to inform strategic decision-making, ensuring the DNC’s approaches are guided by empirical insights and targeted analysis to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Innovation + Experimentation: Test new ideas and technologies and organizational approaches, evaluating their impact and scalability. Apply best practices and tested model voter contact and coalition community programs to plan content, as applicable. 
  • Model Programs: Create replicable, researched voter contact programs for the coalitions program, to produce tested camera-ready art, scripts and content for Coordinated Campaigns. 
  • Organizing Design: Develop year-round organizing frameworks to build sustained voter engagement in concert with other DNC Departments.
  • Best Practices: Document and disseminate information regarding successful tactics and methodologies within the party and among the progressive ecosystem. 
  • Critical Path Management: Develop and maintain the strategic roadmap for the DNC’s strategic plan and the Coordinated Campaign program.
  • Strategic Planning: Coordinate strategic planning for elections including ongoing special elections; the 2026 mid-terms and longer-term efforts, including 2028 and 10-year strategic plan scenarios.
  • Plan Development: Write detailed, actionable plans for national and state coordinated campaigns utilizing the DNC modeled requirements. 
  • Progress Monitoring and Dashboard Development: Track and assess DNC program and state coordinated campaign performance to provide regular reports and insights.
  • Campaign Tools: Identify, curate and lift up tools for cutting-edge campaign management and outreach practice. 
  • State Party Strategy: Collaborate on a 57-state strategy, facilitating tailored approaches to unique local contexts.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Organize materials for meetings with the national campaign committees, consultants, coalition leaders, labor/other allies, and partners. 
  • Developing Educational + Pitch Documents: Work with OSI leaders to craft presentations.
  • Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in campaign strategy, planning and on-the-ground execution of field and voter contact programs.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Exceptional writing, research, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision and practical implementation.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable strategies.
  • Creative problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
  • Technical expertise with voter files, polling, and spreadsheets.
  • Multi-tasking in fast paced environments.
  • This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends. 

    The Project Manager position will require travel, which could be up to 1-15% of the time.

    This means that they are doing campaign and finance work, they cannot be a foreign national/visa holder, only U.S. citizens and Green card holders. This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
