Dott is currently operating in 7 countries and over 50 cities, 15 in Italy, with big challenges and plans ahead for 2024.

We’re looking for a Public Policy Associate to support our growth in the country and our relationships with key stakeholders such as municipalities, institutions, partners, etc. We're looking for a smart and dedicated person, eager to learn and grow together with us. The Public Policy Associate will report to the Public Policy Director and can be located in any Italian city.

What you’ll do

  • Support the Public Policy Director in identifying and prioritizing cities for future expansion in Italy;
  • Help develop and shape knowledge about Dott & its strengths within cities;
  • Show reliability, trust, and proactivity towards cities and other external stakeholders;
  • Collaborate with local Administrations to strategically shape market regulations in line with best-in-class standards;
  • Organise policy-relevant events and activities;
  • Monitor, report, and organize policy activities, in collaboration with all the internal stakeholders;
  • Represent Dott at public policy-related local events;
  • Support the tender application process, helping to define Dott's strategic positioning & providing bespoke local content;
  • Research and analyze the political and governmental landscape in Italy, including regulations and policy developments;
  • Support in reviewing city satisfaction about Dott service where Dott operates, discussing improvement plans with city operations teams;
  • Contribute to building lasting and value-adding partnerships, to create a network around Dott, and to support the team’s goals.
  • What you’ll bring

  • 1-2 years experience in public affairs/policy, project management, institutional relations, policy-related consulting, mobility consulting, or similar;
  • Available to travel regularly to different Italian cities (one-day trips);
  • If living in Milan, available to work 2/3 days a week from the office (if living in another city, fully remote);
  • Experience in external relationships and representation;
  • Preferably a network of established relationships, especially if into city administrations, political parties, mobility-related public and private sector stakeholders;
  • Degree in Political Science, Law, International Relations, Economy, or similar (Master in public affairs, lobbying, or institutional relations is a big plus);
  • Strong writing skills in Italian and English (correspondence, proposals, etc.);
  • Any additional languages are a plus;
  • Event management;
  • A vision and passion for green mobility;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment and in multiple teams simultaneously.
