About the Role

Crunchyroll is looking for a Marketing Director, LATAM. This is a high-visibility role on the Country Leadership team reporting directly to the VP, Strategy & Creative. This role will drive business growth for the Crunchyroll brand in the region, establish long-term country strategies, lead all aspects of title launches and brand initiatives and play a crucial coordination role with the International Marketing Leadership team and global centers of excellence in the corporate office. This is a newly crafted role that will require an ambitious attitude and collaborative approach.

About You

This highly strategic role requires strong leadership skills, centered in the middle of business development, marketing strategy, and creative campaign oversight, and is responsible for the marketing success in the region. It identifies the path to success for the Latin American region as a whole and provides a connection between the market and central global strategic functions following the “globally aligned, regionally relevant principle”.

The Marketing Director takes direct ownership and accountability for top-of-the-funnel marketing activities and subscriber growth in all Latin American markets.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver territory-relevant strategy for traffic driving, brand/community engagement, social media, and fan events.
  • Lead all aspects of all regional marketing efforts to grow portfolio brands including audience development, doer marketing, event marketing, and local marketing partnerships – international marketing team and global leads in the local office.
  • Manage a team of local marketers that develops culturally relevant and conversation driving regionally relevant marketing campaigns.
  • Lead top-of-funnel marketing budget for Latin America.
  • Ensure all local paid, CRM, loyalty, social media, digital, PR, and event strategies are integrated inline with overall global marketing strategy and incorporate regional Operations and Commerce goals.
  • Responsible for localizing the brand in alignment with the global brand direction and local product strategy.
  • Lead all aspects of creative workflows for all products in Latin America - demonstrating and working closely with the international marketing team, global centers of excellence, and regional external partners.
  • Lead all aspects of full-funnel marketing activities for theatrical, and potential e-commerce marketing for LATM including budget management; be held accountable to box office and revenue targets in partnership with Commercial leadership partners.
  • Partner with VP, International Marketing for all future regional territory launches; ensure subscriber targets are hit for emerging territories

Requirements

  • On the forefront of pop culture and up to speed on the latest trends.
  • SVOD experience a plus
  • Brand agency, tech, or entertainment background preferred
  • Worked in a global organization or international experience
  • Self-starter, who is flexible and accelerates in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Fluent in Spanish & English, (br) Portuguese a plus (spoken and written)
  • Willing to travel
  • Deep understanding of the Latin American market
