About the role

As Partner Engineering Director, you have expertise in partner engineering, blending a solid foundation in both technical and partnerships domains. You're not just a participant; you're a driving force in fostering innovation in the partnership space. Your familiarity with the entire partner engagement lifecycle, spanning from contract negotiation to product end-of-life, is extensive.

You will build and lead the engineering team that works with a broad set of device and payment partners to integrate, test, and launch Crunchyroll’s experiences. You will partner with the business and product teams to enable the best possible experiences. You enjoy working at the intersection of business and technology, innovating with partners to deliver new experiences to delight our members.

In the role of Partner Engineering Director, you will report to the VP Technology Partnerships and R&D.

About You

• You have a Bachelors in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• You have 5+ years in a leadership role at a senior manager or director level.
• You have experience in mentoring and coaching engineers.

• You have a proven track record of owning partner engineering for a complex ecosystem.
• You know how to build a deep understanding of current and future stakeholder needs.
• You build high-caliber engineering teams with diverse strengths.
• You have exceptional communication skills.
• You have:
  • Experience with integrating and supporting applications on TV platforms
  • Experience with payment integrations
  • Some familiarity with code design principles, patterns, and best practices
  • Experience with automated testing principles and best-practices

Pluses

• Previous experience with partner tools at a major SVOD company
• Experience with SVOD services partners and in-field metrics
• Experience with partner payments
