Crunchyroll COVID-19 Hiring Status

Crunchyroll employees are currently working from home, and we are still conducting remote interviews and hiring during this time. This role is expected to start remotely, and we’ll work closely with you as we understand every person has unique circumstances.

Location: Los Angeles

This office houses many of our corporate functions and cross-functional teams tasked with creating exceptional experiences for our passionate communities.

About You:

  • 12+ of experience working in Standards & Practices preferably for a TV network or streaming service
  • Knowledge of ratings and compliance policies, as well as an understanding of shifting industry and cultural sensitivities. International knowledge/experience is a huge plus.
  • Effective communication, organizational and diplomatic skills
  • Excellent multi-tasking skill, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment, while maintaining strict confidentiality.

A day in the life of our Director of S&P:

  • Develop scalable global standards and practices guidelines for Crunchyroll in collaboration with Legal, BA, Ops, Localization and other content teams
  • Periodically review standards and ensure Crunchyroll’s compliance with new and evolving streaming rules from global compliance bodies as well as cultural shifts in community acceptability
  • Create and maintain materials that allow reviewers to accurately evaluate content
  • Lead Crunchyroll content review process, ensuring all content aligns with service goals and content adheres to S&P strategy
  • Draft program disclaimers
  • Review and approve any questionable categories of advertising and impose rules on time of airing, and program selection for sensitivity purposes
  • Educate internal departments on S&P guidelines
