About The Team

Creative Services team creates eye-catching designs that captivate and hold our audience’s attention. We create digital, print, and experiential assets across multiple platforms and formats, worldwide. Our key goals are audience development and retention, for our streaming service, our games, our events, and other ancillary products and markets. We are the team that creates the brand’s visual identity, on both the B2C and corporate B2B side. Our work accelerates audience growth, drives revenue, and is key to the expansion of the Crunchyroll family of brands. We build internal and external relationships, and have the ability to create innovative campaign assets that significantly impact global growth.
For streaming, we showcase the latest shows and concept enticing ways to advertise catalog titles. For events, we are responsible for developing the look and feel for new and existing events worldwide, including Anime Awards, Crunchyroll Expo, and more. This team is highly collaborative, working closely with multiple departments to ensure success in competitive and fast-growing markets.

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Graphic Designer to join our creative team. This role will be responsible for handling the production of numerous graphic assets for lifecycle, paid media, and other marketing assets. We are looking for someone who possesses a solid work ethic, understands design across multiple applications, and who, most of all, is passionate about design and creating one-of-a-kind experiences. This role works with other Designers, Art Directors, and the Creative Director to ensure the brand and design integrity of all the assets created by the Creative Services Design team.

About You:

Are you ready to create unique graphic assets that surprise and delight our audiences? Do you love bringing brands to life? We’re looking for an experienced graphic designer to join our in-house Creative Services team - you’ll be responsible for the ideation and execution of design solutions for marketing assets for lifecycle and paid media marketing. You will work cross-functionally with team members from various departments worldwide.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic design or related field
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of professional design experience, designing for entertainment, gaming, or lifestyle brands
  • Proficient at the Adobe Creative suite. Sketch and Google Suite knowledge is a plus
  • Successful track record of completing projects independently, as well as working with multiple cross-functional team members building consensus on goals and objectives
  • A creative problem solver, you are able to work within brand guidelines to keep brand integrity while generating original ideas to expand the brand
  • Understanding of print and digital assets best practices
  • Strong communication skills are essential, ability to explain ideas clearly to stakeholders and teammates
  • Flexible and resourceful, you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are solution-focussed
  • Receptive to feedback, able to modify designs accordingly, and work on various projects simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail, strong organizational and project management skills is a must

Bonus Skills 

  • Experience with licensed key art
  • An interest in pop culture, anime, media and/or entertainment
  • A respect for fandoms, and the importance of community-building

A day in the life of our Graphic Designer:

  • You will design eye-catching marketing assets for lifecycle and paid media channels that attract viewers to watch anime on Crunchyroll.
  • As part of the Design team, you are proactive and work cross-functionally with several groups, such as Marketing, Games, and Events
  • Collaborate on the design and production of projects
  • You work with the Design team and its stakeholders, presenting graphics creative rationale and design style tone for approval before proceeding with production
  • You maintain a consistently productive approach throughout a project’s process, and give regular updates to key stakeholders
  • Develop timelines on all high-volume projects you share with the teams involved
