About the role

We're on the lookout for a dynamic Accounts Payable Manager to take the helm in overseeing our accounts payable processes and ensuring seamless payments to our valued vendors and suppliers. You'll be the financial maestro, maintaining precise records, reconciling transactions, and leading our Accounts Payable team right here in Dallas. Your collaboration with our subsidiary Finance staff is crucial for managing the ins and outs of incoming invoices.

As the Accounts Payable Manager you will manage the Accounts Payable team and report to the Sr Manager, Accounts Payable. This is a full time position with standard business hours of 8-5pm, but flexible. This is a HYBRID opportunity!

A day in the life of our Accounts Payable Manager;

• Navigate the intricate landscape of vendor invoices, ensuring accurate processing according to contractual and company guidelines.
• Embrace the role of detective, investigating invoice discrepancies, disputes, and escalations to guarantee payments and spark process improvements.
• Ensure the accurate processing of vendor invoices, adhering to contractual and company guidelines.
• Review service level agreements and process documentation.
• Contribute to the development of procedures to mitigate relevant process risks.
• Conduct quality audits to validate data and address integrity issues, identify training opportunities, set performance goals, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with departments such as Procurement and Finance to ensure the accurate payment of invoices.
• Monitor the accounts payable process, identifying and recommending improvements for increased efficiency and accuracy.

About You

• 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable
• 2+ years of leadership or managerial experience leading team members in an AP department or shared service center environment
• Proficient Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheet skills
• Excellent vendor and customer service skills
• Experience working with an automated AP workflow platform.
• Working knowledge of accounting software, Netsuite preferred
• Knowledge of accounting principles, data analysis, and accounts payable best practices.
