We are a team of enterprise technology professionals who lead the automation, cloud infrastructure, and AI assisted operations that power the finance and monetization systems behind Crunchyroll.

 

About You:

• 10+ years experience across computer science or information technology job roles
• Experience developing and leading the highest priority projects, delivering on customer satisfaction while also meeting business expectations
• 6+ years experience building scalable, serverless solutions in GCP or AWS
• Experience in Python and familiarity with other languages like JavaScript
• Enjoy working with engineering teams on daily delivery blockers, listening to issues faced within teams, and providing unbiased, business-focused solutions
• You are comfortable leading and maintaining relationships with vendors and partners
• You develop and expand your team through interviewing and coaching activities
• You code and build quality and scalable software solving the hardest problems that can be used by others
• Your documentation sets the standard for all engineers in the organisation
• You can navigate difficult subjects and resolve contentious issues
• You advocate for creating new software only when it is necessary, and you can determine when to build a solution versus when to use off the shelf components
• Experience building, deploying, and maintaining cloud native infrastructure
• Ability to lead investigations into failing critical business processes while delegating work to individuals and providing appropriate communication with key partners
• Unwavering confidence in the face of uncertainty, capable of guiding teams to success by examining risks and providing unique solutions

• Experience working with integration platforms like Mulesoft

 

About the Role

• Work with engineering teams, product managers, and key partners to understand business-critical bottlenecks
• Instil engineering excellence across organisational domains through education, tooling, and one-on-one guidance
• Improve the security of our platform through better tooling, monitoring, and alerting
• Work with operations to evaluate new infrastructure choices and identify architectural standard methodologies with a focus on empowering engineers to operate independently
• Improve internal processes including engineering, product, and communications
• Work with Finance, Content Operations, Marketing, and others from the Senior Management Team to understand important business problems and provide solutions
• You participate in the coaching, mentoring of engineers you work with and are a core part of the hiring process.
• You write critical code and make the right trade-offs. You create solutions that are as simple as possible.
• You dive into ambiguous and significantly sophisticated problem spaces to understand core requirements and provide innovative solutions

 

This role reports directly to the VP of Enterprise Technology and works closely with the Director of Enterprise Technology in Hyderabad
