About the role
Reporting to our Head of Product Counsel, the Product Counsel will partner with our business teams to help shape our approach to product compliance, advising the business as we launch new features and expand anime across the globe.
About You:
- Juris Doctor and membership in good standing (CA/NY bar)
- 4+ years of relevant experience in monetization and payments with a credible law firm or serving as in-house legal
- You have worked in the entertainment, tech or streaming industry
- You are familiar with global payments and e-commerce regulations
A day in the life of our Product Counsel:
- You will support our Product monetization teams in creating new features and forging partnerships in the app ecosystem to grow Crunchyroll domestically and internationally.
- You will advise team members on strategic product initiatives including, mobile app promotion and global app distribution platform requirements.
- You will research Crunchyroll's strategy to enter new territories, and act as one of our authorities on global payments and e-commerce laws and regulations.
- You will support finance, engineering and product on commercial agreements improving our global payments and expansion strategy.
- As Product Counsel you will partner with engineering and product teams to identify issues related to global payment laws and regulations.
