Finance Business Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Finance Business Analyst to develop and maintain Financial budgeting/forecasting reporting systems, including utilization of SAP S4/HANA ERP analysis. This includes strong knowledge of Finance, Human Capital Management and/or Materials Management processes and their interacting business. The position studies system needs, investigates solutions, and presents recommendations to management. Projects generate work items ranging from data mining, business analysis, data integrity, development of new ad-hoc reporting. You’ll be focused on managing and publishing reporting and analytics from SAP S4/HANA that provides business stakeholders insightful progress towards financial targets. You’ll also highlight where gaps may exist that require process refinement and operational improvement. 

Core Responsibilities and Capabilities: 

  • Understand accounting and financial reporting for all business transactions
  • Identifies drivers and key performance indicators over each financial statement line item
  • Produce monthly ad hoc KPI reporting using multiple data sources
  • Perform utilization analysis, including summarizing monthly results for finance leadership and operational leadership
  • Identify trends and gap analysis in monthly results compared to forecast and discuss adjustments to forecast with operational leaders. 
  • Builds intermediate to complex models and conducts financial planning and analysis to assess impact on business metrics. 
  • Queries and analyzes large datasets to drive meaningful insights while proactively identifying new areas for investment opportunity to drive financial results.  
  • Update and maintain multiple dashboards and data sources to feed automated reporting to the extended team. 
  • Conveys findings in a cohesive story, including summarizing insights from analysis
  • Works closely with teammates in the clinics and develops long-standing relationships with operators and clinicians.

  • Demonstrated ability to frame complex analytical problems, pull data, and extract insights that led to intangible business results. 
  • Proven written and verbal communication skill
  • Willingness to roll up the sleeves and do whatever is necessary to meet team goals and deadlines. 
  • Challenge the status quo and ask the hard questions to ensure investment of time and resources is warranted

RELEVANT KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Information Systems required; MBA preferred. 
  • 3-5 years’ experience working in an ERP system in Finance
  • Use of Alteryx, SQL or Advanced Excel functions a plus
  • Experience in developing business models and metrics to address business critical issues in a time-sensitive environment.
