The Procurement Specialist works as an operational subject matter expert and works closely with all procurement team members.  The role blends technical expertise within various business platforms, and works with internal business partners and external vendors within a fast-paced environment.  You will excel in the role by combining an analytical approach to refine and improve procurement operational processes, with the main goal to reduce costs and build capacity within our 680+ offices & practices across the country.  

As a procurement and purchasing expert, you will operate within multiple systems and platforms, working closely with end-users and vendors.  You will provide a lead role within vendor management, procurement buying activities, and contract management.

Primary Functions

  • Provide procurement and purchasing support to assigned operations region; support vendor management programs, cost savings initiatives, and contract processes
  • Provide ongoing support of the P2P platform, managing daily support requirements, contract management, and system setup requirements 
  • Issue purchase orders, provide order management and support corporate purchasing initiatives as needed
  • Maintain vendor contracts and agreements within a central repository
  • Vendor account management; setting up and managing supplier accounts, providing on-boarding and training, and vendor relationship model management
  • Support the business acquisition integration process by transitioning or establishing vendor accounts and on-boarding new users to business platforms
  • Support to procurement sourcing events and formulation of strategic business proposals

 

Skills, Qualifications and Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 1-3 years’ experience within procurement function
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and business ERP platforms
  • Strong analytical skills; proven record of deep-diving complex contracts or data sets and providing clear business proposals and recommendations
  • Strong interpersonal skills; proven record of working cross-functionally and support to strategic goals
  • Highly organized; ability to prioritize work-load and has a strong initiative to see tasks through to completion
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, and ability to execute despite ambiguity
