Sr. Integration Engineer - SAP S/4 HANA

Position Summary:  We are seeking an experienced professional who will serve as a Sr. Integration Engineer - SAP S/4 HANA for our SAP S/4 HANA cloud implementation and all Support Services applications such as HR systems, Finance Systems, Learning Management systems etc. 

The Sr. Integration Engineer will be accountable for analyzing and designing integration and interoperability domain architecture to meet the information technology and business requirements for EyeCare Partners SAP S/4 HANA cloud environment and other Support Services applications. Through collaboration across business process and technical teams you will design and develop efficient and durable system to system interfaces based on best practices to ensure desired business outcomes are achieved.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and design integration and interoperability domain architecture to meet the information technology and business requirements
  • Responsible for developing inbound and outbound interfaces for SAP cloud solution to/from on premise and other  cloud  platforms
  • Plan, design and build automated alerts for all system interfaces
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand and transform business requirements into scalable and manageable solutions
  • Work in conjunction with functional leads to support the integration environment and solutions, including off-hours support of business-critical integration solutions
  • Lead IT integration design and configure new API enhancements of the SAP S/4 HANA platform including implementation of additional modules
  • Present solutions and options to leadership, project teams and other stakeholders adapting style to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Leverage prior experience to establish and enforce integration and data standards and assist in developing secure, scalable governance, integration patterns, best practices and operating model for all integrations within the Support Services technology portfolio
  • Design standards, frameworks, and processes to support and facilitate API integration projects
  • Ensures teams adhere to documented design and development patterns and standards
  • Deliver Design, Technical specification and development of applications on SAP Cloud Platform
  • Apply standard development methods covering the full development lifecycle (project preparation, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and post go-live support) to ensure solution quality
  • Advise technical teams on performance, scalability, reliability, monitoring and other operational concerns of integration solutions
  • Proactively monitor and resolve on-going production issues of SAP cloud platform
  • Work closely with various technical teams to ensure consistency, quality of solutions and knowledge sharing across the enterprise
  • Perform and Support all test activities within the Support Services technology portfolio
  • Educate organization on available and emerging tool sets
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent + 10 years related experience
  • 7+ years of hands-on-experience in the design, development, and implementation of various enterprise integration solutions (API’s, ESB’s, Cloud Hubs) of complex SAP and Non-SAP landscapes
  • 5+ years of experience in the design and development of integration solutions within SAP preferred
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience using various tools such as SAP cloud connector, SAP cloud platform Integration (CPI), SAP PI/PO, SAP gateway, among other API integration management tools
  • Hands-on experience of SAP Cloud Platform - API management for end-to-end lifecycle from design, development, mask, publish and test to deploy
  • Experience designing and developing integrations in the context of SAP FICO, Human Resources and Supply Chain
  • Fluency in standard data formats and API standards such as REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, YAML, delimited files, among others
  • Demonstrable ability to deliver integration designs for heterogeneous landscapes
  • Experienced in service-oriented architecture (SOA) and other integration solutions
  • Able to deliver innovative solutions using SAP Cloud Platform additional capabilities
  • Experience on S/4 and Fiori applications preferred
  • Experience orchestrating complex use cases involving multiple systems, incorporating error handling and error logging
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues and defects
  • Ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels of the organization to align on the vision for integrating enterprise applications
  • Exposure to different project methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, etc.
  • Experience designing and developing integrations across multiple hosted applications
  • Experience working with multiple ETL/ELT tools and cloud based data hubs
  • Team leadership experience
  • Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think and work with a proactive mindset

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Must be able to sit for an extended period of time.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

The job operates in a professional office environment.  The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computer, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday.  Must work 40 hours each week to maintain full time status.
