The opportunity:

You will:

As a supply chain operator, you are an expert in executing the end-to-end movement of shipments within a regional network including air imports and exports.

You will be the “ready-to-ship gatekeeper” in ensuring the highest standard of Flexport quality: shipments move “on time”, paperwork follows compliance and export control policies, and exceptions are handled appropriately. You will be responsible for ensuring your work satisfies internal KPIs and SLAs that demonstrate quality delivery.
You will seamlessly coordinate the day-to-day supply operations of booking, trucking, transloading, air planning and warehouse activities within your region by working with internal and external stakeholders and customers.
You will test scalable operational infrastructure and procedures to ensure they are delivering the highest levels of efficiency and productivity for your customers and within our new operational model.

Additional Responsibilities:

You will help build and implement operational infrastructure and procedures in day-to-day workflows while constantly identifying and executing opportunities to realize optimal efficiency and productivity.
You will empower client solutions by participating in feedback loops to ensure client needs are met.
You will use metrics to spot opportunities to improve and deliver excellent performance in your role, including data quality and shipment milestone timeliness.
You will act as a consultant to your regional team, product & engineering and the operations excellence team on air supply chain operations.

You should have:

Experience

BA/BS Degree or equivalent
Minimum 1-3 years of work or internship experience and an interest in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, air operations, or consulting
Fresh graduates will be considered as Specialist grade

Mindset/Skills

Ability to think tactically with strong attention to detail in a high-energy, fast-paced and ambiguous environment
Experience in collaborating effectively in a cross-functional/cultural environment working towards a common goal
Hands-on, process-oriented, structured thinking with strong problem-solving capabilities
Highly polished communication skills and empathy to understand and discover business pain points
A growth mindset; you have a strong desire to “build a better machine” with a willingness to work in the nitty-gritty of the freight and logistics industry to deliver client results
Flexibility to get the job done when needed, willing to work outside office hours and occasional weekend or night shifts
A "compliance first" attitude to keep our regulators happy and enthusiastic about Flexport since we operate in a heavily regulated industry
