Department:             Rheumatology - Land O'Lakes

Reports to:              Supervising Physician & Director/Associate Director of Physician Offices

Job Summary:        Responsibilities of APRN/PA under general supervision of provider - Preferred experience in Rheumatology.

**BILINGUAL (SPANISH) REQUIRED**

We are looking for an NP/PA for our busy rheumatology practice.  The ideal candidate will have experience working as a mid-level provider, but new graduates who can work independently will be considered.  High consideration will be given to candidates who are fluent Spanish.  We are seeking a person with a strong work ethic and excellent problem-solving abilities , who can effectively communicate with patients and their families.  The desire to continue learning and working with a patient population with chronic rheumatologic conditions is a must.  The NP/PA will be working alongside a board certified rheumatologist and an experienced PA, and we very much believe in a team approach to our clinic.   

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting in-office evaluations and medical assessments.
  • Creating treatment plans.
  • Educating patients on their conditions and treatments 
  • Reviewing lab work and diagnostic imaging.

The job is Monday through Thursday with a half day on Friday, outpatient only.

**No hospital rounding. No night or weekend call**

Keys to Success in this Role:

  • Evaluate patients and treat health conditions
  • Complete documentation in a timely manner
  • Enter charges
  • Assist supervising provider with completion of tasks
  • Ensure tasks, labs, and diagnostics have been reviewed and addressed as needed
  • Attend all required meetings/conferences

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provides excellent customer service to his/her team, patients, and public
  • Maintains an organized and clean work area
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
  • Attends all meetings required by physician or Director/Associate Director
  • Attends yearly Florida Medical Clinic Physician Conference
  • Participates in monthly CTT meetings
  • Consults supervising provider as needed for client care

Occupational Exposure:

  • High risk exposure to bloodborne pathogens and chemical hazards

 Job Qualifications:

  • Florida Licensed APRN or PA
  • Minimum of 1 year experience 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong computer proficiency
  • Ability to plan ahead, organize and manage multiple priorities
