Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Serves as an Accounts Receivable resource for the CBO
  • Has a working knowledge of coding across assigned specialties.
  • Meets weekly with the AR Manager to review and evaluate Accounts Receivable performance / denial information in order to identify inefficiencies and works to implement changes to correct and eliminate future denials.
  • Maintains continuous review of the Accounts Receivable of the group/teams, noting any changes in Accounts Receivable performance.
  • Keeps abreast of changes in the coding environment, changes in regulations, changes in carrier preferences and methodologies; communicates the changes to affected team members and implements procedural changes necessitated by these issue
  • serves as a liaison to assigned clinic departments to research and answer reimbursement questions and ensures departments are working accurately and utilizing proper techniques.
  • Manages processes and workflow to ensure that employees are performing their duties accurately and timely.
  • Monitors employees of the group/teams to ensure that they are working in accordance with company directives.
  • Meets with staff individually on a monthly basis to review assigned AR, attendance, questions/concerns and mentoring.
  • Organizes and conducts team meetings on a bi-monthly basis to discuss training topics, department protocols and changes.
  • Conducts regular audits to assure adjustments are done appropriately.
  • Continuously evaluates workflow and implements changes to ensure group/team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Closely monitors productivity of the group/team.
  • Manages staff
  • Completes performance reviews
  • Coaches and counsels team members
  • Maintains and monitors attendance of team members 
  • Coordinates staffing needs and schedules to include PTO requests and coverage

Job Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong computer proficiency, able to learn and apply new software applications
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others utilizing a team structure
  • Ability to plan and manage multiple priorities in a team environment
  • Minimum 1 year experience required
