Medical Assistant - Pulmonology

Previous experience in working in Pulmonary, is helpful! Having insurance authorization is a plus. 

*Minimum 1 year experience required*

Keys to Success in this Role:

  • Prepare e-charts prior to visit
  • Assist traffic at front window
  • Complete check in processes
  • Properly room patients
  • Assist provider during examination and treatment
  • Perform incidental duties as needed

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
  • Strong team player
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Previous experience in a Back Office role required
  • Pulmonary experience helpful

Physical and Mental Demands:

 

  • Ability to maintain quality control standards.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.
  • Pulmonology office experience a plus
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.

Occupational Exposure:

  • Low risk exposure to bloodborne pathogens and chemical hazards
