The Zephyrhills Cardiology department is seeking a full- time Medical Assistant. Typical schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The role is responsible for assisting providers and manages clinical functions in the department. Looking for someone with cardiology experience but not required. Can confidently take BP readings, communicate and give clear instructions to patients..  Must be able to multi-task and work in a very high volume, fast pace environment, patient experience, customer service, team player, energetic person. **Bilingual is a plus**

*1 year of related experience required.**

Keys to Success in this Role:

  • Complete the start of day processes
  • Properly room patients
  • Assist provider during examinations, procedures, and with treatment
  • Perform diagnostic studies and treatments 
  • Clean and sterilize instruments and medical equipment
  • Process medication requests
  • Handle patient calls
  • Organize and maintain sample and supply closets
  • Perform incidental duties as needed

Physical and Mental Demands:

 

  • Physical requirements
    • Able to stand or walk for long periods
    • Use of proper body mechanics
  • Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making
  • Experience in fast pace, high volume office setting
  • High level verbal and written communication skills
  • Above average ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously 

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
  • Strong team player
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Cardiology experience highly preferred
  • 1 year of related experience required
  • Bilingual Preferred
