Job Title:                 Medical Receptionist

Dept.:                       Neurology

Reports to:              Office Supervisor

This is a full-time position for an experienced Medical Receptionist with Tampa Neurology office. This role is responsible for the management of all traffic and the front window. Check-in/ out process, insurance verification. Assist patients and providers at the conclusion of the patient's visit. Schedule is Mon-Fri 8:30-5:00. Medical experience preferred but not required.

Keys to Success in this Role:

  • Prepare charts prior to patient visit
  • Assist traffic at front window
  • Complete check in/out processes
  • Assist provider and patient  to the conclusion of the visit
  • Process charges
  • Address tasks in a timely manner
  • Answer phones as needed

Job Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Strong team player
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Medical office experience preferred

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Normal physical ability; able to sit for long periods
  • Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making
  • High level verbal and written communication skills
  • Above average ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Occupational Exposure:

  • Low risk exposure to bloodborne pathogens and chemical hazards
