Role Requirements: 

  • Neurohospitalist – MD or DO – Inpatient 
  • General neurology 
  • Seizures 
  • Movement disorders 
  • Board Certified or Board Eligibility required 
  • Must possess/ability to obtain a Florida Medical License 
  • Call coverage is minimal 
  • Hospital information: 
  • Orlando Health Bayfront 701 6th Street South, St. Petersburg, FL  33701 
  • Required to work 14 shifts per month with a block of 7 shifts on and 7 shifts off 
  • Patient census averages 15-2- encounters per day, with 25%-50% are new consults

Work Experience: 

  • Work-life balanced schedule. 
  • Patient panel.  Ability to see patients 18-years-old through geriatric. 
  • Patient census.  Expect to see between 15-20 patients per day utilizing the efficiency of EPIC, an electronic health record system. 
  • Collegiality.  Work in a team-oriented environment with like-minded physicians housing primary care providers and specialists throughout our network. 
  • Inpatient Support.  Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health has a team of Hospital Medicine physicians to support inpatient and long-term care patient needs.
