Join Foodstuffs in this newly created Government Relations Manager role, reporting into our Head of of Government Relations. You'll be able to utilise your knowledge of government relations work to assess the implications for our business, and you’ll utilise your strong written communications skills to ensure Foodies has a voice internally and externally.

Te Tūranga – About the role  
- You’ll be monitoring the Government’s legislative program
- Assessing the relevance of Central and Local Government policies on Foodstuffs operations; provide advice on possible responses; facilitate the development of the appropriate response; and participate in the legislative process.
- You’ll provide insight into the implications of Government policies on our businesses.
- Engage with Members of Parliament and others to increase awareness of Foodstuffs operations, our co-operative structure, and the positive economic and social contribution we make in communities across the country.
 
He kōrero mōu - About you     
- A strong interest in public affairs, politics, and current affairs.
- A strong understanding of the NZ political system.
- The intellect and experience to understand the economics and regulatory complexity of Foodstuffs' business and provide sound advice using analysis, knowledge, and good judgment.
- The ability to interpret complex legislation and regulations and explain their impact on our businesses.
- Experience in developing and maintaining collaborative stakeholder partnerships and relationships.
