Responsible for identifying new site opportunities for future stores, development and design of new stores, management, maintenance and refurbishment of existing stores, plus seismic remediation, refrigeration upgrades, energy efficiency and maintenance, the Foodies Property team are focussed on supporting members and the co-op to deliver for our customers every day.
Te Tūranga – About the role
As Property Asset Manager you’ll look after a portfolio of circa 90 properties with a focus on maximising return on investment for Foodies. As a leader, you’ll also have a Property Facilities Manager reporting to you.
Key areas of responsibility include:
· Lease preparation, lease renewals and rent reviews
· Ensure ongoing maintenance of company owned properties
· Ensure compliance with all property related laws and regulations
· Establish and maintain working relationships within and beyond the co-op, including store operators, tenants, landlords, contractors and other stakeholders
· Planning and organisation of all property administration and management functions relating to your portfolio

He kōrero mōu - About you
Your experience in a commercial property management looking after large complex portfolios will give you the knowledge of NZ property acts and regulations and property asset management practices. A natural people person, you’ll be able to build and maintain strong relationships while still being able to negotiate and have the “tough conversations” when required. Commercially savvy and with a collaborative and consultative work style, you’ll be self-managing and results driven.
You’ll also need:
· Proven ability to bring a wide range of internal/external stakeholders and consultants together effectively.
· Experience in financial evaluation of proposals and due diligence.
· Ability to lean on your experience as well as trends and patterns in information to guide evidence-based decisions
· Proven ability to implement pragmatic and innovative solutions
