Te Tūranga – About The Role
Are you ready to shape the future of how we work at Foodstuffs North Island? As a Senior Business Analyst in our IT Business Engagement team, you’ll play a pivotal role in turning complex business challenges into simple, effective solutions that drive real impact. This is more than gathering requirements – it’s about challenging the status quo, bringing bold ideas to the table, and influencing change across the organisation.
You’ll partner with leaders, stakeholders, and delivery teams to uncover opportunities, champion Agile ways of working, and deliver solutions that improve processes, systems, and outcomes for both our teams and customers. In this role, you will –
· Partner with product owners, business leaders, and delivery teams to turn business goals into impactful solutions.
· Lead workshops and discovery sessions with stakeholders across the organisation to uncover opportunities and challenges.
· Translate complex needs into clear and effective User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and process flows using Agile (SAFe) practices.
· Champion data-driven insights and user-informed design to drive meaningful change and improvements.
· Contribute to raising BA capability and maturity across the practice, sharing best practices and shaping the way we work.
· Act as a trusted advisor and collaborator, bringing curiosity, energy, and a drive to inspire teams.

You’re a tech-savvy problem solver with a strong grasp of both IT and business operations, and you know how to turn that knowledge into smart, scalable solutions. You’re someone who can cut through complexity, connect the dots across systems and teams, and help shape the bigger picture, all while keeping the customer experience at the heart of what you do.
Whether you’re leading discovery sessions, mapping out processes, or influencing decision makers, you’re calm under pressure, curious by nature, and always ready to roll up your sleeves. You’re not afraid of ambiguity, in fact, you thrive in it. You’re known for being adaptable, collaborative, and someone people can rely on to get the job done and done right.
What you’ll bring – Essential:
· 5+ years of business analysis experience with a proven track record of delivering complex projects, ideally including digital or e-commerce initiatives.
· Strong knowledge of Agile ways of working (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or equivalent) and experience supporting product lifecycles.
· Exceptional skills in requirement elicitation, process mapping, backlog management, and translating technical insight into practical, people-friendly solutions.
· The ability to influence and communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels, building credibility and collaboration.
· A curious, commercial-minded approach with a natural drive for innovation, continuous improvement, and delivering tangible outcomes.
Preferred
· Previous experience in retail, FMCG, or complex enterprise environments.
· Hands-on exposure to digital and retail platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, Adobe suite, or similar.
· Experience working closely with UX/UI designers.
· Business Analysis certification (e.g., CBAP, IIBA AAC) or equivalent professional recognition.
· Enterprise-wide perspective, with the ability to balance strategy, process, and technology in complex, high-ambiguity settings.
· Experience in mentoring or uplifting BA capability, contributing to a strong, collaborative practice and supporting the growth of junior analysts.
