With 340+ stores across the North Island, we’ve got complexity and scale in spades. We’re looking for a proactive, solution focused finance professional to join our high performing team.   
 
About the Role
As a Senior Financial Accountant with Foodies, you’ll play a key role in contributing to the Group Finance teams KPI’s. Working collaboratively and cross team to achieve results, you’ll be responsible for the financial accounting and reporting of FSNI and its subsidiaries & associates.

This includes:
• Responsible for the preparation of consolidated financial statement for the group and its subsidiaries in accordance with NZ IFRS
• Production of monthly management reports and analysis to support business decision
• Preparation of technical papers on implications of changes in/new accounting standards 
• Monitoring and managing the general ledger and monthly and annual close process 
• Working collaboratively across Commercial Operations and the broader business e.g. Supply Chain, Property and Merchandise to ensure integrity of monthly financial results
• Review and oversee all balance sheet reconciliations 
• Identify process improvement opportunities, ensure robust financial system and control process are in place
• Oversee and coordinate the year end audit process, liaising with external auditors
• Preparation of income tax returns

In addition, you’ll assist with coaching within the team and across Commercial Operations.

• Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders  
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS / NZ IFRS
• Proven self-starter able to identify, take ownership and manage issues through to resolution  
• Adaptability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Systems savvy – logical and technologically literate
