Te Tūranga – About the role
As a Safety Coordinator, you’ll support safety initiatives across our two Auckland Distribution Centres, working closely with the Senior Safety & Wellbeing Advisor. You’ll help drive compliance, lead inductions and training, manage reporting, and support audits and incident investigations—all while promoting a strong safety culture. You’ll also:
· Deliver safety messages and toolbox talks to support a strong safety culture.
· Maintain and support health & safety systems, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.
· Coordinate inductions, training, and emergency exercises for all staff and contractors.
· Assist with audits, risk assessments, and follow-up on corrective actions.
· Manage incident and hazard reporting using our safety management system.
· Lead safety communications and working groups to drive continuous improvement.
· Assist with injury management, follow ups, and working with all stakeholders to implement the return to work plans

He kōrero mōu - About you
The ideal candidate for this role will:
· Have working experience in a DC environment and in a safety focused role
· Be familiar with health & safety policies, procedures, and New Zealand legislation (ACC, Worksafe, etc.).
· Preferably have experience in working with safety systems - ACC AEP or similar and or auditing to an in internal safety management standard.
· Have some understanding of New Zealand ACC and health and safety legislation and regulations and application of the same.
· Be competent in MS Office software, and have experience in SharePoint administration, or similar.
