Moms First, formerly Marshall Plan for Moms, is a national, non-profit organization transforming our workplaces, our government, and our culture so moms can thrive. Through our programming, thought leadership and grassroots movement of one million moms and supporters, we are fighting for the structural changes America’s mothers need and deserve including affordable child care, gender neutral paid leave, and equal pay for moms. Through 2024, the organization is housed within the non-profit Girls Who Code, with plans to become our own standalone non-profit by 2025. Moms First was founded by Reshma Saujani, a long-time advocate for women’s economic empowerment.
Moms First is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Digital Organizing Director to develop and execute a digital organizing strategy that grows and mobilizes our community of moms and supporters to expand child care and paid leave policies in their workplaces and communities. The right person for this role has digital marketing expertise and deep experience organizing communities online and off. The Director will be responsible for the strategy, development, and implementation of high-impact campaigns that fuel our growth and impact goals, and the supporting infrastructure and data analysis required to scale smartly. In partnership with our Director of Communications, this position is responsible for ensuring our websites and social media properties tell the story of our work and inspire more people to join us. This is a unique opportunity to be the architect of the digital organizing function and make a concrete impact as a leader of a growing startup. Our team values are to be daring, high impact, relentless, equitable and above all else, put moms (and our team) first. As a senior leader on the team, this role will be responsible for helping to shape how we live out these values in our work day to day.
The Moms First team is remote, with a hybrid work option for New York City based team members. This role may be performed virtually, however we prefer candidates based in the NYC-metro area. If remote, candidates must be willing to travel and be based near a major airport with direct flights to NY, DC, and LA.
