Girls Who Code is seeking Regional Retentional Specialists to support Clubs volunteers past and present in maintaining a strong relationship with GWC. The ideal candidate has experience cultivating and maintaining relationships with volunteers, providing high-quality customer support, and facilitating events. They bring experience working with and coaching educators and a passion for reaching students at scale.

This is a part-time (20 hours per week) fully remote position.
Applicants must be 18 years or older.

Resopnsibilities:

  • Cultivate relationships with a regional portfolio of Facilitators to support brand affinity and engagement
  • Convert approved volunteers to engaged participants through email outreach and additional individualized follow up
  • Execute strategic proactive communication campaigns, as needed
  • Represent Girls Who Code at targeted meetings, community events, and conferences to increase brand affinity and engagement
  • Host office hours/cohort meetings to support volunteers in professional needs
  • Field inquiries from volunteer Clubs Facilitators via email, phone, or videochat, including: registering for and navigating Girls Who Code HQ, setup and execution of the Clubs Project website, student recruitment and retention, curriculum preparation, structure, and execution
  • Collect feedback for all open and resolved incidents, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Solicit renewal applications for existing Clubs
  • Work closely with a member of the Program Implementation Team to ensure that the retention strategy being implemented is effective and meeting targets
  • Submit weekly status updates and meet monthly engagement targets
  • Travel to areas within assigned regions as necessary for community partner cultivation and management
  • Quslifications

  • Successful track record in setting priorities, shaping processes, and executing quickly and effectively
  • Comfortable working independently and being a part of a remote, distributed team
  • Data driven: the ability to track outcomes through set goals  
  • Excellent communication, presentation and people skills with an ability to balance priorities, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Reliable internet connection
  • Fastidious record keeping and organization
  • Detail-oriented, with superb organizational skills
  • Previous teaching or mentoring experience, especially in computer science
  • Experience within academically and culturally diverse classroom community, operations role strongly preferred
  • Experience with Google Suite and Salesforce preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
