Your work-life opportunity:

Glovo is looking for a team-oriented, highly analytical and passionate leader to join the Commercial team. The Area Manager will be responsible for developing and leading a dynamic and creative commercial management team for our top tier cities.

Within this role, the individual will manage a large team, set the commercial strategy, establish and maintain strong partnerships and manage the Area P&L.

Be a part of a team where you will:

  • Build, manage and lead a commercial dream team (both internal and external), continuously training and improving them
  • Manage relationships with partners
  • Understand drivers and opportunities of the area P&L
  • As an owner of Glovo’s revenue, you’ll make sure that all deals and partners follow the required profitability of your country
  • You growth our actual partner base, increasing their volumes and marginality 
  • Take strategic decisions based on data 
  • Ensure that your team keeps their pipeline updated on a daily basis
  • Search, negotiate and launch external providers to boost the sales
  • Institute best practices and processes which can be replicated across all areas
  • Follow closely market trends and news
  • Lead change with cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external parties, while meeting tight deadlines

You have:

  • + 5 years experience of commercial experience
  • + 3 years experience hiring and managing a team
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Overachieving targets is a must
  • Superior analytical skills and willingness to roll up sleeves to get it done
  • Highly polished communication skills - speaking, writing, presenting and negotiating
  • You are a methodological fast learner who is familiar with CRM tools (Salesforce, Dynamics, etc)
  • Analytical skills
  • Experience in team management and interacting with c-levels is a plus
  • Proficient with Excel and Word

Nice-to-haves:

  • MBA preferred
  • Track record of results, setting strategy, and running a large volume and high profile business
  • Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development
  • High threshold for working and thriving in an ambiguous, fast paced environment – figuring it out and adapting as you go
  • Ability to operate simultaneously and effectively in both tactical and strategic modes
  • Experience successfully coaching and developing others
